WEBaround ApS deals with internet kiosks placed at remote bars and cafés.
Some kind of surveillance system are needed in order to make sure that all the computers are up and running. The main problem here are that the computers are not reachable from outside of each location, so a simple remote administration application wouldn’t solve the problem. My task was to make a client-server like system, where a client connects to a server at a fixed interval each hour.
The client also requested a bulletin board system (forum) where they could store information about each of their clients, application software, information in general, project process, etc.
The task was solved by installing and configuring the phpBB forum and by developing an application that runs on both Windows and Linux. The surveillance system were embedded into the forum system.

Jan is a hard-working self-starter who invariably understands exactly what a project is all about from the outset, and how to get it done quickly and effectively. During his four months I cannot remember an instance in which he missed a major deadline. He even completed ahead of schedule with very satisfactory results.
Jan Olsen is a resourceful, creative, and solution-oriented person who was frequently able to come up with new and innovative approaches to the website project. He functioned well as a team player but even more importantly he functioned as an independent worker.
On the interpersonal side, Jan has superior programming skills and was excellent at interpreting the requirements which were set forth. Jan is highly respected, as both a person and a professional.
In closing, as detailed above, based on my experience working with him, I can unreservedly recommend Jan Olsen to you for any website / programming assignments.
